£35Leaving the Memorial Gardens at 1 15 we will travel by coach to Kiplin Hall near Richmond. Kiplin was originally built as a hunting lodge for George Calvert, Secretary of State to James I, who became the founder of the state of Maryland, USA. Since that time, through the ownership of four succeeding families, the house has undergone many modifications and additions but has emerged with a captivating character and unpretentious charm that makes it a delight to visit.
There will be an introductory talk before we explore the house and its surrounding delightful gardens at leisure. There will be time to enjoy refreshments (not included) in the tearoom. Closing date for applications May1st
