Railway Museum Visit
14 September @ 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm£18
A behind the scenes visit to the National Railway Museum, York. Ed Bartholomew, Lead Curator, will be our guide for the paintings, currently on display, from the NRM collection of some 500 artworks. He will then show us some of the items from the extensive and interesting collection of materials kept behind the scenes at the NRM. Bob Gwynne, Associate Curator, will take us on a conducted tour of the locomotives and talk about the, sometimes, surprising influences on their design.
Tea/coffee and a choice of scone, traybake or giant cookie will be available at a reserved table in the Station Hall during our tour. Cost to include the two tours and refreshments is £18.00 per person. Numbers are limited to a total of 24. Closing date: Wednesday 31 August.
