A York Civic Trust initiative to capture the changing streetscapes of this historic city through the last four centuries. some 200 painting, drawings and photographs have been organised into specific streets and locations in the city centre, and placed alongside contemporary photographs of the same location. This exhibition gives the visitor a unique opportunity to judge the impact on York’s streetscape of changes in our society and lifestyles, from the 18th century to date.
