To raise funds for York Art Gallery we are staging a selling exhibition of paintings, works on paper, sculpture, ceramics and basket-weaving.
The show will feature the work of 11 exceptional York-based artists: Jake Attree, Ruth Beloe, Angela Cole, Judith Glover, Harold Gosney, Sarah Hall Baqai, Julie Mitchell, Robert Mosley, Rosie Ramsden, Sarah Raphael Balme and Ilona Sulikova.
These 7 painters, 2 ceramic artists, a sculptor and a basket-weaver, have all created work especially for this exhibition. All have donated at least one piece completely to the Friends; we will also take a further commission on each and every sale.
Meet the Artist Sessions
Throughout the exhibition, we will hold a series of intimate Meet the Artist sessions. Numbers will be strictly limited to create the very best opportunity to explore the work and learn about the artist’s inspirations directly from them. Refreshments will be served at every one. Cost: £15

Meet Judith Glover, a ceramic artist specialising in handbuilt sculptural pieces in the studio pottery tradition. Wednesday 12 November at 2pm
Meet Rosie Ramsden, artist and food stylist. Thursday 13 November at 2pm
Meet Angela Cole, an award-winning modern basket designer-maker, whose craft is rooted in traditional skills and nature. Saturday 15 November at 12 midday
