Kirsty Mitchell, Curator at York Minster, will talk about the present exhibition in the Minster Undercroft, which she has curated and which runs to December 2025. She explains that although York Minster’s Collection and Interpretation Team care for a vast and varied collection, they also care for numerous parish libraries and silver. In this talk Kirsty will share some of the highlights of the parish collections These objects tell national and global stories, some having survived religious turmoil, fire or war. They offer fascinating glimpses into Yorkshire life, the history of York Minster and the ways in which collections are formed.The talk will be followed by tea and cake (included).
