A talk by Amina Wright, curator of historic art collections, exhibitions, and interiors formerly for English Heritage, and the Holburne Museum in Bath. She is now Senior Curator of the Faith Museum in Bishop Auckland. She has published a special study of Sir Thomas Lawrence, and will share with us some of the findings of her most recent research. Thomas Lawrence is of particular interest to the Friends of York Art Gallery, as in 1807 William Etty spent a year as his pupil. The fee of 100 guineas was paid for by Etty’s Uncle William.
